Job summary

New Weds Foods is seeking a Bagger for the 2nd shift to operate a bagging line, fill bags with product, apply correct labels and weights, and ensure bags clear the metal detector for shipment.

The role requires basic math, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. while maintaining safety and product quality in a production environment. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Springdale, AR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge about manufacturing food is preferred.
• Able to communicate well, both verbal and written, and with good mathematical skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bagging machine and fill bags with product.
• Ensure proper labeling and weight.
• Ensure bags pass through metal detector before leaving the bagging area.
• Stack bags neatly on skids and color-coded locations.
• Return unused labels to the operator for recording.
• Clean machine and work area as required.
• Report any metal detector or roller malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Follow safety requirements and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Summary:
The Bagger position is required to operate a bagging machine to properly fill bags with product, ensure proper labeling and weight, and ensure bags successfully pass through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area. The position may also be required to perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the department manager

Essential Functions:

• Ensure batch numbers and product code on the labels match with the product been dumped
• Make sure metal detector in good working condition.
• Stack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid color.
• Return any unused label back to the operator so that it can be recorded.
• Clean machine and work area as required.
• Detect any malfunction of metal detector and rollers and report it to the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
• Report all shortage to the lead operator.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment:The job is performed in production areas where the person will be exposed to strong aromas, airborne dust particles emanating from ingredients being used, and will be in the presence of or otherwise operating machinery.
