At Uncle G's, we take pride in our products and seek experienced candidates to carefully craft our baked goods. We are looking for a full-time Bread Baker for our Port Jefferson Station store.

Our Bread Bakers create an outstanding customer experience through the creation of exceptional gourmet bread products. The Bread Baker should greet customers with a smile, be courteous, and work collaboratively with management and team members to provide high-quality service.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare bread, rolls, muffins, and biscuits according to company recipes.
2. Check production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
3. Measure ingredients accurately using measuring cups and spoons.
4. Mix ingredients to form dough or batter by hand or using electric mixers.
5. Cut dough into uniform portions with a knife or divider, mold into loaves or desired shapes.
6. Adjust oven temperature and drafts to ensure proper baking conditions.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a Bread Maker or pizza maker, with knowledge of bread-making processes, ingredients, and different bread types, shapes, sizes, and baking temperatures.
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously during the shift.

Working Conditions

• Most of the time spent moving on hard surfaces, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.

• Exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers.
