Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc in Faribault, MN seeks a hands-on assembler to support production of HVAC components on the 2nd shift. Starting wage is $31.04/hr plus $2.30/hr for 2nd shift, with shift options Mon-Thurs or Fri-Sun and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift, push and/or pull materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• Ability to read and understand written English.
• High School Education/GED OR minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify unit options using bill of materials to complete required work content per unit.
• Align, clamp and position work pieces using tools such as jigs, vices, to comply with drawings.
• Clean work pieces to remove debris using brushes or grinders.
• Apply heat, alloy and nitrogen to produce assemblies efficiently.
• Ensure proper setup and handling of tanks, torches, hoses and regulators for safety and quality.
• Complete assembly of work content to support production standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure quality standards.
• Train new members on machines, procedures and safety practices.
• Identify and rework defective pieces to meet quality standards.
• Read and interpret blue prints and product specs for sequencing and material needs.
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) and obtain license.
• Obtain certification in leak testing and vacuum and charge.
