Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Virginia is seeking an Assembler (Brazer) to join our production team on the 3rd shift (11:00 pm–7:00 am). You will assemble and brazing copper and other metal components for cooling systems, using prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams to ensure unit integrity and safe, efficient operation.

Starting pay is $24.23 per hour, with the rate increasing to $26.23 after nine months depending on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Perform brazing and soldering of copper, brass, and other metal components in the fabrication of chiller assemblies.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and watercircuit per print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms. Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required.

Position Description

AnAssembler (Brazer)Technicianis responsible forutilizingprints, workinstructionsand wiring diagramsin order toassembleproducton the production line.The position is also responsible forassembling and joining copper and other metal components using brazing techniques to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our cooling systems. Assembler (Brazer) Techniciansare responsible foradhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands.

Hours: 3rd Shift: 11pm- 7am

Pay: Starting Rate is $24.23/hour after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23
