Responsibilities include removing excess metal, operating grinders and forklifts, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The job requires lifting, endurance for long shifts, and the ability to read and follow training materials.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift >50 lbs.
• Frequent lifting up to 40x per hour.
• Stand, bend, twist for long shifts.
• Able to read and understand training materials.
• Work in extreme heat.
• Operate heavy machinery safely (ladle, crane, forklift).
• Use PPE correctly (respirator, metatarsal boots, eye and hearing protection).

Responsibilities

• Remove excess metal from castings using grinding tools.
• Check guards, tool rests, and wheel for spacing/condition.
• Lock out/tag out of equipment when necessary.
• Retrieve parts from tubs.
• Place finished parts in proper tub.
• Retrieve molten metal from brass furnace.
• Use grinders, bandsaws, hoist, and cranes.
• Forklift operation—load/unload trucks.
• Transfer metal to pouring line for molding.
• Clean up and other duties as required.
