Job summary

Clow Valve Company is seeking a 3rd Shift Brass Grinder in Oskaloosa, IA. The role operates from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM with a starting wage of $28.21 and a qualified wage of $29.11, plus a $1.20 per hour differential for the shift.

Responsibilities include inspecting guards and wheels, performing lockout/tagout when needed, removing excess metal, and placing finished parts into designated containers while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Must read and understand training materials and instructions.
• Must work in high heat environments and around moving machinery.
• Must wear PPE including respirator, protective boots, eye and hearing protection.

Responsibilities

• Check guards, tool rests and wheel spacing for proper condition.
• Lock out/tag out equipment when necessary.
• Retrieve parts from tubs and remove excess metal with grinding tool.
• Place finished parts into proper tub and maintain area cleanliness.
• Assist with general shop cleanup and safety practices.
