What you can expect

This role will lead the event strategy, content, speaker selection, promotion, attendee engagement, and overall experience for Zoom-owned events. It will partner closely with the Growth team’s Events department, which is responsible for logistics and overall project planning. Responsible for driving a clear strategic vision that delivers meaningful impact, with the goal of engaging and growing Zoom’s customer base through exceptional event experiences.

About The Team

We are a high-impact, cross-functional team focused on building programs that connect brand engagement to business growth. We unify partnerships, Tier 1 events, social media, and advertising into one cohesive strategy—designed to drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline across the Zoom portfolio. Our work spans the full funnel, and we stay relentlessly focused on outcomes and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and driving the overall event strategy, including setting event goals, identifying target audiences, shaping programming themes, and establishing success metrics. This ensures each event aligns with business objectives and delivers measurable impact.
  • Owning content development for Zoom-owned events, crafting compelling narratives and programming that resonate with our audience. This includes close partnership with Product Marketing to ensure content aligns with product priorities and showcases innovation. It also tells a cohesive story that elevates the brand and deepens customer engagement.
  • Leading the speaker selection process by identifying and securing key talent that aligns with our event goals and audience interests. Collaborating closely with Product Marketing, Press teams, and external PR agencies to curate a diverse and compelling lineup that highlights thought leadership, product innovation, and brand storytelling. This ensures each speaker contributes to a memorable and impactful event experience.
  • Developing and executing promotion and attendee engagement strategies to maximize event awareness, registration, and participation. Collaborating closely with Growth, Creative, and Events Logistics teams to create targeted campaigns and craft compelling messaging. This also includes implementing interactive initiatives that foster excitement and meaningful connections before, during, and after the event.
  • Leading complex, cross-functional initiatives—aligning teams, driving timelines, and delivering programs that make a measurable impact.
  • Driving programs from kickoff to delivery—keeping timelines on track, and goals in focus. Build momentum and accountability to make sure the work lands with impact.
  • Managing agency relationships to get the best innovative, strategic, and operational outcomes—on time and on budget. Keeping scopes clear, feedback sharp, and partnerships productive across events, campaigns, and brand initiatives.

What we’re looking for

  • Have 8+ years of experience leading events or experiential marketing for a major brand, preferably in the tech industry. Proven track record of delivering high-impact programs that drive business results.
  • Set a clear, inspiring direction for event initiatives that align with overall business goals and brand strategy.
  • Lead and foster strong partnerships across Growth, Creative, Product Marketing, Press, and Events Logistics teams to drive seamless execution.
  • Make data-informed decisions, balancing creativity with business impact to optimize event outcomes.
  • Articulate clear goals, plans, and results to diverse audiences, fostering transparency and alignment.
  • Encourage new ideas and continuously improve event strategies to keep experiences fresh, engaging, and impactful.
