Job description

At Apostle, we are the ambassadors and messengers for our clients—sent on their behalf to deliver a clear, concise message. As a Brand Strategist, you are more than a facilitator of someone else's work – you are a maker who drives business results for our clients. Your natural curiosity leads you to ask good questions, find the thread, interpret the client brief, build the story, and ultimately, carry it through to execution.

This unique hybrid role merges account management and brand strategy. You’ll build trusted relationships, understand what our clients need to accomplish, and work alongside our project managers and creative team to deliver work that moves their business forward. You’ll be expected to make a meaningful contribution at every stage, from shaping the strategy to sharpening the final deliverables.

We’re looking for someone who thinks critically, writes clearly, takes ownership, and works thoughtfully with all stakeholders. Someone who can turn a complicated conversation into a focused brief and explain why an idea is right for the business. Someone who understands how marketing teams operate and can navigate the people, priorities, and processes that shape the work.

Above all, you care about getting to the right answer and helping the team make it happen.

What You’ll Do:

  • Know the business. Develop a strong understanding of your clients’ goals, industry, audiences, challenges, and opportunities, bringing informed recommendations to the table.
  • Build the relationship. Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, earning trust through clear communication, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
  • Discern the real assignment. Evaluate client briefs, ask questions that matter, and turn incoming briefs into clear direction for the internal team.
  • Shape the strategy. Contribute to brand, messaging, and campaign strategies under the direction of Brand Message Directors, using research and analysis to inform your thinking
  • Elevate the work. Participate in brainstorms, contribute ideas, and collaborate with the Apostle team to develop solutions for our clients’ businesses.
  • Carry it through. Partner with project managers to align responsibilities, navigate priorities, and keep work moving from brief to delivery.
  • Tell the story. Develop and deliver presentations that make strategies, creative ideas, and recommendations easy to understand and act on.
  • Stand behind the work. Review deliverables for strategic alignment, quality, and clarity. Make sure every recommendation has a clear rationale.
  • Look ahead. Identify opportunities to strengthen campaigns, improve the process, and help clients anticipate what comes next.
  • Understand the details. Write scopes of work and develop production estimates for existing clients.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a client-facing role in marketing, advertising, or related field. Client-side experience is also strongly preferred.
  • Strong strategic instincts and a curiosity that goes beyond the brief.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling messages.
  • The ability to build productive relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the judgment to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Experience using AI thoughtfully to support research, explore ideas, and improve efficiency, with accountability for the quality of work and deep thinking.
  • A passion for creative problem-solving and developing innovative ideas
  • Comfort adapting as assignments, priorities and information evolve.
  • The confidence to work independently and the judgment to know when to seek direction or raise an issue

What You’ll Find at Apostle:

Good work takes people who care about the idea, the details, and each other. We take the work seriously and give our people room to build a life beyond it.

Our benefits include:

  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching and profit sharing
  • Employer-paid health and dental insurance for employees
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Hybrid work environment
  • New parent paid leave
  • A casual, collaborative work atmosphere
  • A well-stocked kitchen with snacks, drinks, and shared team meals
