Overview of the Role:

IP House is seeking a Brand Protection Analyst to join our Erie, PA team. This is an on-site position. The BP Analyst plays a critical role in identifying, documenting, and analyzing suspect or counterfeit products found online. The role combines investigative research, evidence handling, data analysis, and legal documentation to support brand protection and enforcement. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, loves technology, and is capable of managing complex data with discretion and precision. This role requires strong collaboration with internal teams and the ability to present findings in a clear and organized manner. On-the-job training will be provided for all aspects of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct online investigations to identify potentially counterfeit, unauthorized, or infringing product listings and research seller identities
  • Capture screenshots and images of suspect listings and document seller information and digital evidence
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to prepare escalation templates, cease-and-desist communications, and other enforcement documents
  • Analyze, photograph, label evidence & create chain of custody documentation
  • Update and manage tracking systems and databases with high degree of accuracy
  • Compile client-ready reports, including metrics, summaries, and dashboards, reflecting investigative progress and outcomes.
  • Draft letters of finding, declarations, and detailed analysis reports to support enforcement and litigation
  • Analyze and manage large datasets in Excel
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all reporting, documentation, and communications
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:

No analyst or product ID experience is required. The ideal candidates will be hard-working, enthusiastic individuals with an exceptional ability to prioritize and reprioritize daily tasks. Success depends on the following:

  • Ability to follow detailed directions
  • Strong verbal communication skills with ability to maintain composure during difficult conversations
  • Ability to write detailed, comprehensive notes and reports
  • Excellent written communication skills. This role requires more than simply filling in templates or reusing boilerplate language. Ability to analyze issues independently, apply critical thinking, and develop precise written responses is imperative.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage sensitive data and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated proficiency in internet research and use of MS Office applications, SQL experience is a plus.
Compensation:

$20- $22 hourly, depending on prior analyst experience, in a 40-hour work week.

Work Location Requirement:

This is an on-site position. Applicants must be able to report to the office in person and maintain regular attendance during standard working hours.
