Job summary

North Carolina State University seeks a graphic designer to create high‑quality, engaging materials that reinforce the university brand. The role covers internal and external campaigns, both digital and print, and requires collaboration with the Creative Director and campus partners.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio in illustration, layout and motion graphics, with solid communication and organizational skills to support the Division of Academic and Student Affairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency and visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment.
• Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite on the Mac platform.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong typography and layout sense.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of and ability to execute innovative visual concepts and production.
• Complete technical skill set includes design, digital illustration, photo editing and layout.
• Create original images and illustrations; design layouts based on NC State brand.
• Present concepts to team and campus partners; incorporate edits into final designs.
• Manage projects in branded template system and create new templates as needed.
