Job summary

NC State University is seeking a UTS - Temporary Graphic Designer to support the department with high-quality print and digital materials, event collateral, and digital campaign graphics. The role requires creativity, brand consistency, and collaboration with Marketing, Advancement, and Events staff.

Applicants should have 3-5 years of graphic design experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with Canva familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong graphic design and visual communication skills with a portfolio.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Ability to create event collateral and branded presentations while adhering to UNC brand standards.
• Experience prepping files for professional printing with proper bleed and color profiles.
• Ability to adapt graphics for web, email, social media and digital ads.
• Canva familiarity is a plus.
• Experience in higher education or cultural institutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality print and digital materials for department marketing, advancement, events, programs, and priorities.
• Create and update event collateral including invitations, save-the-dates, programs, signage, and donor materials.
• Develop graphics for emails, websites, social media, ads, and online communications.
• Design and format presentations, proposals, reports, and sponsorship materials.
• Support upcoming facility transformations, new exhibits, and high-visibility initiatives.
