Boundless is seeking a Brand Merchandise Specialist in Austin to help turn client needs into thoughtful merchandise programs sourced from creative suppliers. You will work with Senior Account Managers, clients, and internal teams to deliver branded products that meet objectives, budgets, and timelines.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in promotional products or related fields, strong research and sourcing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

Job description

The Brand Merchandise Specialist provides dedicated sales and client support to an assigned Senior Account Manager team, helping bring creative branded merchandise solutions to life from initial concept through delivery. This role combines strong client service and project coordination with a passion for creative product sourcing, merchandising, and memorable brand experiences.

Working closely with Senior Account Managers, clients, suppliers, and internal partners, the Brand Merchandise Specialist helps translate client needs, brand objectives, budgets, and timelines into thoughtful merchandise recommendations and successful programs. The ideal candidate is creative, resourceful, highly organized, and naturally curious about emerging brands, products, and trends. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with assigned Senior Account Managers to support client relationships and day-to-day account needs.
  • Work with clients and Senior Account Managers to understand brand objectives, audiences, budgets, timelines, and project requirements.
  • Research, source, and recommend creative branded merchandise solutions for employee appreciation, client gifting, recruiting, events, promotions, corporate branding, and other client initiatives.
  • Identify emerging products, retail brands, sustainable merchandise options, and industry trends that may provide new opportunities for clients.
  • Develop merchandise recommendations, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate product concepts and solutions.
  • Coordinate product pricing, quotes, samples, availability, and production timelines with suppliers and internal partners.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to help ensure product quality, branding accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Support the order process from concept through completion, proactively monitoring timelines, communicating updates, and helping resolve issues as they arise.
  • Manage multiple client projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal partners and provide responsive, solutions-oriented service.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of supplier capabilities, product offerings, and new merchandise opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client, project, and order information within applicable systems.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in promotional products, merchandising, retail buying, sourcing, branding, marketing, corporate gifting, product development, client service, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting client relationships and managing multiple projects or priorities.
  • Strong product research, sourcing, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, Sales Partners, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from concept through completion.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing client needs and priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use CRM, order‑management, and other business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the promotional products, branded merchandise, corporate gifting, retail buying, or merchandising industries.
  • Knowledge of promotional products suppliers, manufacturers, and industry resources such as PPAI or ASI.
  • Experience with brand marketing, event marketing, or experiential marketing.
  • Experience creating merchandise presentations or other visually compelling client‑facing materials.
  • Knowledge of premium, retail, sustainable, or emerging merchandise brands.
  • Existing supplier relationships within the promotional products or branded merchandise industry.
Other Specifications
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Position is based at our headquarters in Austin, Texas.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work independently while collaborating regularly with Senior Account Managers, clients, suppliers, and other Boundless team members through phone, email, video conferencing, and company systems. The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and respond effectively to changing client and business needs.
