Job description

Healthcare’s helping hand. CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year. Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding. This Brand Director in our CHG Healthcare Marketing Division will own and evolve the brand strategy for one or more of our large staffing companies.

The ideal candidate is a proven brand marketer, skilled storyteller, and collaborative partner to our sales teams, with the vision to challenge how the brand shows up today, determine where it needs to go next, and the discipline to build the campaigns and experience that get it there. They will also collaborate closely with the growth marketing team members to ensure continuity against the full marketing funnel optimization and execution. They can develop and implement integrated brand campaigns that build awareness, consideration, and long-term equity, evaluate brand health, and own the brand experience end to end, from strategic direction through day‑to‑day execution.

This full‑time position is based out of Midvale, Utah and will report to the VP of Marketing and Customer Products.

Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve brand positioning and strategy, anticipating market shifts, competitive threats, and customer needs.
  • Define and champion the future vision for brand experience, identifying where it falls short today and leading the work to modernize and elevate it.
  • Define the strategy that guides growth marketing execution, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across every channel and touchpoint, including products and websites.
  • Develop and execute branding and marketing campaigns, building awareness, consideration, and long-term equity.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with sales division leadership to review marketing plan progress, surface emerging needs, and work together to hit shared business goals.
  • Lead campaigns and outreach utilizing TV/video, sponsorships and partnerships, PR, social, display, content, conferences, and events.
  • Track brand health metrics, including awareness, recall, sentiment, consideration, and share of voice, and translate findings into recommendations.
  • Develop data-informed proposals and reports to support sustained brand investment decisions and overall marketing investment.
  • Work with research and strategy teams to apply customer insights and learnings to brand strategy and campaign development.
  • Guide the creative and UX teams on design and copy direction, pushing creative and brand experience standards forward while maintaining consistency across all output.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to identify threats and opportunities.
  • Lead a team of individual contributors responsible for delivering the marketing plan.
  • Develop talent and own employee engagement for the team and contribute to building an effective, diverse marketing team.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams throughout the marketing division and manage external agencies.
Qualifications
  • Visionary thinker who can define where a brand needs to go next, not just execute against an existing plan, and who is comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Strategic brand marketer with a proven ability to build awareness, consideration, differentiation, and long-term equity for a business.
  • Strong storytelling and creative judgment, with the discipline to protect brand consistency across every channel.
  • Insight-driven decision maker who translates research and customer understanding into compelling brand strategy.
  • Collaborative relationship builder who partners naturally.
  • Strong executive communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders through compelling written, verbal, and presentation formats.
  • Experience in leading and scaling a team of marketing professionals across brand and performance marketing, focused on growth and development, engagement, and coaching.
Education & Years of Experience
