Job summary

JAKKS Pacific, Inc. in Santa Monica, CA, seeks an experienced Brand Manager for Action Play and Collectibles.

You will lead portfolio management, product development, integrated marketing strategy, and profitability for internal IP and licensed brands. Responsibilities include developing product and marketing strategy across categories, guiding packaging, and cost targets, plus supporting sales with tools and presentations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Brand Manager, Action Play and Collectiblesfor our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading portfolio management, product development, integrated marketing strategy, advertising/promotional recommendations, global line plan development, and profitability for both internal IP and external licensed brands.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing the product and marketing strategy for new and existing products across the Action Play and Collectibles categories.
• Overseeing the implementation of the product strategy - including consumer targeting, product and packaging development, and setting and achieving cost targets.
• Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the organization.
• Working closely with the company’s Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations.
• Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.

Skills & Experience required:

• 3-5 years of experience within a consumer products marketing organization, preferably with products targeted to kids
• BA in marketing or related field required, MA preferred
• Resourceful; able to self-start and get things accomplished with minimal oversight
• Work effectively within a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Have a positive “can do” attitude
• Proven track record of success in marketing roles
• Ideally, have experience in the toy or sporting goods industry or working in an industry that markets to retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Amazon

• Compensation: JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive salary. Compensation for this role commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $75,000-$95,000.
