Purpose
The Brand Management Coordinator supports the implementation and stewardship of The University of Texas at Austin's brand, helping strengthen consistency and brand oversight across the institution.This role serves as a key resource for colleges, schools, units, and campus communicators by providing guidance on brand standards, visual identity, and brand best practices. The position helps promote consistent and effective application of the University's brand through brand review, compliance support, training, project coordination, resource management, and stewardship of the University's digital brand assets.
Responsibilities
- Brand Implementation & Campus Support : Support colleges, schools, units, and campus communicators in the application of university brand standards and visual identity guidelines. Assist campus partners in bringing marketing materials for review and approval and into alignment with updated brand requirements across print, digital, environmental, and promotional channels. Provide guidance on brand resources, templates, and approved practices while helping facilitate consistent implementation of the university brand across the institution.
- Brand Compliance & Review : Review communications and marketing materials for alignment with university brand standards, visual identity guidelines, and established best practices. Identify compliance issues and work with campus partners to support revisions and implementation of approved brand standards. Track recurring issues, maintain review records, and assist with efforts to improve brand consistency across the institution.
- Brand Education & Resources : Support the development and delivery of brand education programs, workshops, presentations, and training resources for campus communicators. Assist with maintaining brand standards documentation, templates, toolkits, and other resources that promote effective brand implementation.
- Project Coordination, Digital Asset Management, and Administrative Support: Coordinate brand review requests, consultations, and related projects. Maintain records, workflows, and reporting related to brand compliance activities. Serve as the primary coordinator for organizing, tagging, cataloging, and maintaining approved assets within the department's digital asset management (DAM) system. Apply metadata and organizational standards to ensure assets are searchable, accessible, and aligned with brand guidelines. Support special projects and initiatives related to brand management, communications, and creative operations.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement : Partner with creative, communications, digital, and marketing teams to support institutional brand initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve brand processes, resources, and stakeholder experiences. Assist with ongoing efforts to strengthen brand adoption and consistency across the university.

Salary
$70,000
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, design, business, or a related field.
- Three years of professional experience in communications, marketing, branding, project coordination, design, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and provide responsive customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to learn, interpret, and consistently apply brand standards, policies, and procedures.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- More than 3 years of professional experience a plus.
- Experience supporting brand management, communications, marketing, or creative services.
- Experience using project management, content management, or digital asset management systems.
- Experience working in higher education or another large, complex organization.
- Familiarity with visual identity standards, brand guidelines, or creative workflows.
- Professional experience at the University of Texas at Austin a plus.
Working Conditions
- This position is based in Austin, TX and is required to work on campus in a typical office environment.
