Job summary

BASIS Education is seeking a highly organized and creative Graphic Designer to join our Design team at our Central Office in Scottsdale. This role focuses on translating complex information into clear, compelling visuals that support our educational mission and brand aesthetic across web, digital, and print materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of professional design experience in an agency, in-house, or related environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and familiarity with Figma, Canva, or similar design tools.
• Demonstrated proficiency with motion graphics, video editing, or animation tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
• Knowledge of typography, color theory, composition, and design best practices.
• Experience designing for both print and digital platforms, including responsive layouts.
• Understanding of production processes for print and web.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and web design.
• Familiarity with project management software (Asana, Jira, Trello, etc.).
• Experience in photography, illustration, or other complementary creative skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality digital and print assets for marketing materials and campaigns.
• Edit video content for marketing and communications, including short-form social videos.
• Support website UX design with intuitive layouts, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs.
• Create templates, style guides, and reusable design assets to maintain brand consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing to translate strategic goals into effective design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality execution.
• Provide mentorship or feedback to junior designers when needed.
• Research design trends and emerging technologies to keep the organization’s creative work fresh and engaging.
• Recommend design strategies to improve user engagement and visual storytelling.
