Job summary

Newell Brands in Atlanta, GA seeks a Sr. Manager, Brand Cost Finance to be a strategic finance partner to Segment CFO and BLTs. Lead cost insights, support NPD and Make-vs-Buy projects, and translate P&L results into actionable guidance for senior leadership.

The role requires strong collaboration across Brand Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Plant Finance, with a focus on profitability, cost structure, and standard-cost processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
• Experience in supply chain finance, product costing, and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, Excel, and analytics tools.
• Ability to build effective relationships across finance, supply chain, and brand teams.
• Proven people leadership, with a focus on developing talent and driving accountability.

Responsibilities

• Leads financial support for cost builds related to New Product Development (NPD), partnering with Brand Marketing, Brand Finance, R&D, and Plant/Sourcing Finance.
• Leads financial support for cost builds related to Make vs Buy projects, partnering with Supply Chain, R&D, and Plant Finance providing key insights through the Gen-R process.
• Leads the analysis for the annual and future standard cost roll process, ensuring clear insights and actionable recommendations are provided to the segment.
• Translates OCOGS P&L results into clear business implications, risks, and opportunities for the segment.
• Leads the E&O reserve review and forecast process for the segment, ensuring global alignment.
• Drives a process improvement mindset across Brand Cost to simplify and enhance ways of working.
• Leads financial discussions related to COGS in cross-functional forums to drive alignment on priorities and risks.
• Champions a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
