Job Description
Who We Are (Repeated section, consider removing for conciseness) The CAA Brand Consulting - Sr. Account Manager - Sports Talent will play a key role in one of our largest Brand Consulting clients, a technology services company. The Sr. Account Manager will co-lead across all Sports Talent including the day-to-day management of talent partnership across the brand’s sponsorship portfolio and is responsible for linking Talent strategy alongside broader Sports & Entertainment strategy. The candidate will interface daily with the client and work cross-functionally with athlete representation, internal account team, vendors, and agencies. Lead direct client relationships and connect with internal account leads.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead across all sports talent and influencer partnerships
  2. Ongoing talent relationship and partnership management
  3. Ensure talent program consistency with Entertainment Talent counterparts
  4. Main point of contact for the client on projects focused on talent partnerships within the sports vertical
  5. Develop and deliver talent strategies based on client briefs and initiatives
  6. Manage multiple projects and budgets independently
  7. Develop concepts and facilitate creative approval for talent activations
  8. Lead client calls and provide expert opinions
  9. Present projects to clients
  10. Manage budgets, tracking, and reconciliation
  11. Oversee day-to-day talent partnership management, including communication with talent representation, activation plans, and asset tracking
  12. Assist with talent deal negotiations and management
  13. Oversee creative development of marketing materials for talent and events
  14. Collaborate with other teams to meet goals
  15. Develop and deliver effective written and verbal communications
  16. Create presentations for internal and external meetings
  17. Track activation budgets and report accordingly
  18. Build relationships within CAA and with external partners to find new opportunities
  19. Manage internal/support team members

Qualifications

  • BA or BS strongly preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5-7+ years relevant experience
  • Ability to travel and be onsite at events
  • Strong industry connections, especially within sports and entertainment, specifically athlete representation
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • High-level critical thinking, proactiveness, attention to detail
  • Project and budget management expertise
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience managing and developing junior staff
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to maintain and grow client relationships
  • Understanding of industry trends and developments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience at a Sports Agency, League, or Brand with talent programming
  • Knowledge of Baseball or Collegiate sports talent programming preferred

Location
Flexible work schedule; required to be onsite three days/week at Los Angeles or New York offices.

Compensation
Annual salary range: $103,000 - $125,000, plus benefits and discretionary bonus. Salary varies based on experience, location, and other factors. Discuss with a CAA Recruiter for more details.
