Job summary

Flamingo, a Mam moth Brands company, is seeking a Director of Brand Communications and Community in New York. You will own influencer, ambassador, PR, social, and community programs, building awareness and advocacy while leading a team to deliver results across channels.

You’ll work with the Head of Flamingo to align brand and business goals, shaping buzz online and offline, with responsibility for budgets and cross-functional collaboration. Expect an entrepreneurial, in-office environment.

• A relationship-driven strategist with ties to talent, agents, and PR, and adept negotiator.

• Creative storyteller who can shape narratives with PR and guide content.
• Culturally fluent with instinct for rising trends and markets.
• Commercially minded and comfortable owning budgets with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy to build awareness, engagement, conversation, and advocacy across influencer, ambassador, PR, social, and community.
• Lead influencer strategy and negotiate with talent and agencies, including celebrity talent.
• Build ambassador program turning fans into advocates.
• Partner with PR on narratives, calendars, campaigns, and gifting strategy.
• Establish community engagement through events and campaigns.
• Guide content and social with the creative team to maintain Flamingo’s distinct voice.
• Own relationships with PR, production houses, and talent, and manage budgets.
• Lead and grow a team across influencer marketing, social, and community.
• Define measurement of success and use insights to sharpen strategy.
