Job summary

The Park District of La Grange is seeking a Marketing & Communications Specialist to lead the district's marketing and communications initiatives. The role focuses on promoting programs, events, facilities, and community engagement through strategic marketing, digital communications, public relations, and sponsorship development.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in marketing/communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, public relations, digital marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational and project management abilities, experience managing multiple projects and deadlines, and knowledge of accessibility standards and digital communication best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate the District's annual marketing and communications plan.
• Coordinate marketing efforts for all departments, programs, facilities, events, and services.
• Develop marketing strategies to increase participation and community engagement.
• Collaborate with staff to identify promotional opportunities and priorities.
• Maintain the District's brand identity across all platforms.
• Coordinate production schedules for marketing materials and calendars.
• Measure campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Manage social media platforms and digital content.
