Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. is offering a Summer 2027 Corporate Communications internship at our Newport News, VA corporate office.

This 10-week program provides hands-on experience in advertising, branding, content creation, and social media, with writing assignments and event planning responsibilities. The role supports the corporate communications team and requires a valid email for application, transcripts, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0+ (official transcripts required).
• Enrolled in a degreed program supporting company needs (Business, Accounting, IT, Communications, etc).
• Currently attending a 4-year college/university (or 2+2) and planning to continue in fall.
• Able to work a 40-hour week for 10 weeks during summer.

Responsibilities

• Support communications needs with focus on advertising and branding.
• Complete writing assignments.
• Gather photos and videos for materials.
• Assist with event planning and execution.
• Develop social media posts and other content.
• Provide website support.
