Job summary

Trident United Way in North Charleston, SC seeks a Marketing and Communications Intern for the spring semester. The role involves producing graphics, writing content, and managing e-newsletter sign-ups within CRM and Constant Contact. It offers hands-on branding experience and event support.

The intern will gain exposure to nonprofit communications, social media planning, and CMS duties, with flexible scheduling and mentorship in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Two semesters of major-related coursework in Graphic Design, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage workflow.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with Canva.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design projects to produce clear, engaging graphics and brand-compliant communications.
• Assist with writing, editing, and layout of e-newsletter content.
• Maintain email opt-outs and sign-ups for e-newsletter in CRM and Constant Contact.
• Translate TUW messaging into marketing materials.
• Edit and proofread changes from agencies or designers.
• Support event coordination before and after events.
• Schedule social media content and monitor platforms.
• Update website content.
