Job summary

Nelnet's Marketing and Corporate Communications team seeks a motivated Intern focused on internal communications and processes. You'll gain hands-on experience, contribute to newsletters, planning campaigns, and events while working in Nelnet's diversified hybrid organization.

This internship offers one-on-one mentorship, competitive pay, flexible schedule, intern-specific programming, and real work that matters to our business. Availability 15 to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing, creating, organizing, and distributing internal newsletters, articles, announcements, and other content that supports the organization and brand standards.
• Brainstorm engaging content ideas and bring them to life.
• Identify inspirational stories and positive customer experiences.
• Collaborate with business areas to determine communication needs.
• Respond to and prioritize content creation requests.
• Review and copyedit content for accuracy, consistency, and brand standards.
• Maintain the corporate communications content planner.
• Update the company intranet.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
