Job summary

Vermont Public in Vermont is seeking an Events & Marketing Coordinator to serve as a brand ambassador, bringing our mission and public service value to life at community events across the region.

In addition to representing the station, you will curate our community calendar, host tours and educational visits, assist with newsletters and promotional materials, and track engagement to drive continuous improvement; travel will be required, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in events, marketing or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to engage a variety of audiences in person.
• Demonstrated ability to represent an organization professionally in public settings.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Represent Vermont Public at community events with warmth and professionalism.
• Curate and promote the community calendar and host station tours.
• Design welcoming booth experiences and coordinate interactive tours/educational visits.
• Support marketing activities including newsletters, materials, and branding swag.
• Track event participation and audience engagement to inform improvements.
