Job summary

Industrial Supply Corporation is seeking a Branch VMI Specialist to help keep our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program running smoothly in Las Vegas. You’ll support VMI routes, drivers, customer inventory programs, vending solutions, and branch operations, preparing routes, troubleshooting inventory issues, and training team members.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable with barcode scanners, vending software, and inventory systems.
• Safe driving with an acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT medical requirements.
• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage VMI routes for on-time deliveries.
• Review routes and improve efficiency.
• Serve as backup VMI driver when needed.
• Complete vehicle and DOT inspections.
• Track proof-of-delivery and follow VMI procedures.
• Maintain consistent customer route schedules.
• Set up vending machines and Point-of-Use programs.
• Keep inventory areas organized and labeled.
• Evaluate VMI setups and implement improvements.
• Perform basic vending machine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot vending and inventory issues.
• Monitor stockouts and coordinate solutions.
• Communicate VMI needs and issues with customers.
• Collaborate with sales teams.
• Identify additional product or sales opportunities.
• Coordinate with Branch Lead on inventory levels.
• Process customer orders and VMI inventory accurately.
• Onboard and train new VMI team members.
• Teach VMI processes and equipment to staff.
• Provide warehouse support and vend-pack prep.
• Support other branch projects.
