Job summary

MSGCU is seeking a Branch Service Specialist (Universal Banker) to deliver member experiences across sales and service functions, including teller transactions. The role emphasizes listening to needs, cross-selling products, and building lasting member relationships at MSGCU’s Michigan branches.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, with 6 months teller or retail sales experience and any combination of an Associate degree or 1 year customer-facing experience in financial services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months of teller experience or retail sales experience.
• Either an Associate degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Accounting or Finance, or 1 year of member/customer facing experience within financial services.

Responsibilities

• Performs a broad range of member sales and service functions including teller transactions to deliver the member experience; focuses on listening to identify needs and cross-sell MSGCU products.
• Member service responsibilities include processing loan applications, opening new memberships, IRAs, automated services, and supporting Call Center; explains ownership options and eligibility.
• Teller duties include cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, payments, CD transactions and account maintenance.
• Builds trusted relationships with members and uses MSGCU products to cross-sell and offer beneficial solutions.
• Maintains service standards, handles member inquiries, and collaborates with team to resolve issues.
