Job description

The Branch Sales Manager is accountable for retaining, growing, and maximizing new and existing relationships through direct sales of banking products and technology. This role involves conducting direct marketing efforts to target relationships identified by management, providing hands‑on support to customers, and converting banking relationships. The Branch Sales Manager will strengthen customer relationships through cross‑selling products and services and play a dual role within the banking center providing both teller and new account services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve goals established by management through direct sales of banking products.
  • Conduct direct marketing efforts to target relationships identified by management.
  • Identify business opportunities and potential clients in the market.
  • Provide high‑quality customer service to ensure a positive banking experience for all customers.
  • Offer hands‑on support to customers, converting banking relationships.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Represent TRB at functions offering business development marketing opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating bank events.
  • Possess great communication skills during both internal and external interactions.
  • Establish concrete working agreements with bank partners and other lines of business.
  • Available to travel when necessary.
New Accounts / Teller Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for being well versed in the Bank’s available products and services.
  • Ability to open and close accounts in the Business Process Manager software. Account types may include personal and business checking, savings, IRAs, and Certificates of Deposit.
  • Act as an expert for new account documentation with specifics on business documentation.
  • Ability to discuss new account documentation with customers.
  • Order checks and debit cards.
  • Prepare documentation for new accounts under the Bank’s CIP/BSA policies.
  • Follow up on requests from clients and loan officers in a timely manner.
  • Deposit funds received from customer and obtain receipt for customer.
  • Provide information to current and prospective customers regarding interest rates, account charges, and other pertinent account information.
  • Operate and maintain a cash drawer, process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and cash checks.
  • Maintain accurate details of each transaction.
  • Prepare daily general ledger entries.
  • Perform vault functions, as necessary.
  • Assist with daily balancing of coin machine.
  • Assist existing & potential customers with product and service inquiries.
  • Verify accuracy of posted transactions.
  • Promote and cross‑sell the Bank’s products and services, at every opportunity.
  • Make concentrated effort to solve customer problems.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
Other Responsibilities
  • Actively engage in the communities we serve.
  • Participate in the interview and recruitment process of branch personnel as necessary.
  • Participate in community affairs to increase the Bank’s visibility.
  • Work closely with Area Market Manager and Branch Managers with the support of significant community events in their marketing area and sales incentives.
  • Support and promote the Bank’s culture, vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
  • Provide a strong, compassionate, and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects.
  • Comply with federal and state regulations and all established bank policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of bank operations experience, with a combination of business development, management of a branch, opening and servicing accounts and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Product and service sales experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer relations skills are necessary.
  • Must be proficient in Office programs such as Excel and Word, typing, keyboarding, PC, and 10‑key.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned.
  • Able to work under high pressure situations and a stressful atmosphere and ability to remain composed.
  • Requires flexible work schedule Monday through Saturday.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Work efficiently in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.
