ABOUT THE JOB:

The Branch Operations Manager (BOM) is responsible for the success of the branch operations. This role involves driving safety, controlling costs, managing the branch workforce, and efficiently overseeing inventory. Success is achieved through value-driven execution that complies with WS policies and all relevant laws and regulations. The BOM maintains excellent service standards, responds efficiently to customer inquiries, and strives for high customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Operations
  • Provides managerial oversight to branch operational employees, including Production Supervisors, Shop/Yard Labor, Field Service, Dispatchers/Transportation Coordinators, Drivers, and Branch Coordinators.
  • Manages daily tasks, assignments, and duties for temporary workers and contractors as applicable.
  • Communicates clearly and promptly with all branch employees.
  • Utilizes internal systems to ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, high-quality revenue activities.
  • Oversees maintenance, inventory, and fleet servicing to manage costs effectively.
  • Plans and manages budgets, actively controlling costs.
  • Ensures work order, off-rent/damage billing, inventory, and purchasing compliance.
  • Maintains availability of parts, VAPS, and other resources for efficient operations.
  • Collaborates with HR and leadership to develop and manage the branch workforce, including recruiting, training, and employee development.
  • Manages logistics aspects like safety, resources, DOT compliance, and route efficiency.
Production
  • Ensures off-rent processes are completed timely, with thorough inspections and damage assessments.
  • Develops strategies to minimize variances in work orders and manages fleet inventory counts.
  • Issues and tracks vendor purchase orders.
  • Orders, receives, and distributes materials and VAPS.
  • Focuses on first-time quality and reducing service calls by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Customer Service
  • Uses NPS feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures on-time deliveries, returns, relocations, and service.
  • Drives high product quality and operational excellence for commercial readiness.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years managing teams in a service shop, manufacturing, or construction environment, or 2+ years with WillScot.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and vendor relationship management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with customer interaction.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, Tableau, Hyperion, Teams/Zoom, or Smartsheets.
  • Experience in fleet management, logistics, inventory, dispatching, or building codes/permitting.
