Job summary

QXO, North America’s largest distributor of insulation and building materials, seeks a Branch Manager for Portland operations. You will lead branch activities, supervise staff, and drive sales, profitability and safety across all functions.

You will manage budgets, implement lean processes, partner with Talent Acquisition, and develop metrics to monitor performance. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and 5+ years of supervisory experience in this region are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Experience in sales and account management within this region, especially with General Contractors and an industrial customer base.
• Solid understanding of P&L management to achieve business plans and financial targets.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Insulation or related materials knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent job experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide exemplary service to customers and associates.
• Direct and manage all branch operations and resources to achieve maximum profits.
• Supervise all branch activities including sales, administration, expenditures, and shop/warehouse.
• Use performance reports, planning, budgeting, and financial controls for long‑range planning.
• Partner with other organizations to facilitate a strong, efficient business.
• Manage branch Profit and Loss and overall operations.
• Maintain hands‑on leadership within the branch.
• Achieve financial and non‑financial goals and objectives.
• Assist in formulating and implementing marketing and sales strategy for the branch.
• Develop annual branch budgets and monitor performance metrics.
• Implement operational procedures to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Plan long‑term goals and coordinate branch efforts.
• Provide sales management to branch personnel and recruit as needed.
• Work to improve lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a positive workplace culture and review employee performance.
• Ensure safety policies are implemented and maintained.
