Job summary

Arrow Financial Corporation is seeking a Branch Manager – Tier 2 or 3 for Schroon Lake. You will oversee daily branch operations, drive customer service excellence, and connect with business partners to offer a full suite of products and services.

You will lead a team to meet branch goals for accounts and loans, adhere to policy and regulatory requirements, and travel to other branches as needed. A Bachelor’s degree and banking experience are required, with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 6 years in banking/financial services or retail sales.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and strengthen relationships through calls, networking, and referrals; seek cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead day-to-day operations; manage scheduling, training and policy compliance across branches.
• Coach staff to meet goals; monitor performance and support career development.
• Analyze department and staff performance to meet targets and adjust as needed.
• Achieve lending goals as directed by leadership based on budgets.
• Ensure branch security, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports and present to customers and management as appropriate.
• Participate in meetings and community engagements as required.
• Engage in community service as designated by company requirements.

About this position

The Branch Manager Tier 2 or 3 is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of one or more branches, providing quality customer service, connecting with business partners to offer a full spectrum of products and services, and leading the branch team to meet/exceed established goals for account opening, loans, and other business development.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and strengthen existing relationships through researched business development calls, networking, and response to referrals; actively seek cross-sell opportunities
• Lead team through day-to-day operations; responsible for scheduling for one or more branches and assigned traveling staff; training; ensure employee and branch compliance with established policies and procedures
• Manage, coach and counsel staff to meet branch goals and achieve performance standards; encourage employee continuous improvement for career development
• Analyze and compare department and individual staff performance to expectations and goals; make necessary adjustments to meet goals
• Achieve established lending goals as determined by Corporate Banking Manager based on department and company-wide budget goals.
• Oversee and adhere to requirements pertaining to branch security, fraud prevention, Bank Secrecy Act, and other government regulations
• Prepare and review documentation and reports for management in a timely manner. Make presentations to customers, potential customers, and community as appropriate.
• Participate in department and Company meetings as appropriate; regularly interact with Regional Board Members
• Participate actively in community service as designated by Company community service requirements

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
• 6 years of experience in banking, financial services, or retail sales required
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to achieve NMLS certification and Signature Guarantee certification

Skills/Knowledge

• Demonstrated management, supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers and management, and community influencers
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong math and analytical skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines a must

• Travel to various branches as needed

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time.
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience and education.

Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s annual bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.
