Job summary

Mariner Finance in Oregon City seeks a Branch Leader to oversee lending decisions, staff coaching, and daily operations. You will review applications, manage accounts, and build community relations.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree or military rank, 3 years in consumer lending, 2 years of supervisory experience, and licenses to sell insurance where applicable. Strong communication and MS Office skills, plus reliable transportation, are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the Consumer Lending and/or Financial Services industry.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience, or recent successful completion of a lending training program; additional years may be substituted for supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economics; or military rank; additional years may be substituted for degree.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office or similar programs with knowledge of financial services programs.

Responsibilities

• Exercise lending authority when reviewing and approving applications and offering loan solutions meeting customer needs.
• Manage retention and maintenance of existing accounts, including lending and collecting, to achieve branch sales and delinquency targets/g oals.
• Coach branch staff by providing actionable feedback to achieve branch goals and minimize turnover.
• Prepare and submit reports reflecting branch activity and growth.
• Develop business by networking with local establishments and building community relations.
• Implement internal branch auditing procedures to control negotiable items and records.
• Manage approvals of policy exceptions based on business needs and retention factors.
• Ensure policies are met when monitoring monthly expenses per business plan.
• Investigate and resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints.
