Job summary

Midwest Landscape Industries, Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager in Indianapolis to lead the Landscape Management division. You will supervise crews, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with account executives to schedule resources while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include overseeing projects from start to warranty period, budgeting, bidding support, and developing SOPs. The role requires strong leadership and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and residential landscape maintenance, enhancements, snow management, budgeting, job costing, materials management, project management, production, scheduling.
• Horticulture knowledge including plant identification.
• Proficiency in irrigation systems diagnosis and repair.
• Knowledge of blueprints, takeoffs, plant material, hardscapes, and water features.
• Strong ability to lead, train, and support crew members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Due to our plans for aggressive growth, the Landscape Management Division has an immediate opening for a Branch Manager in Indianapolis. This role is crucial for overseeing all aspects of landscape and snow management, installation of enhancement and irrigation projects, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field personnel and manage subcontractors.
• Oversee projects to substantial completion and through the warranty period.
• Communicate with customers, designers, and maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with Account Executives/Managers and Area Managers/Field Managers to schedule manpower and equipment resources.
• Ensure all equipment for projects and service accounts are available when needed.
• Evaluate equipment utilization and make recommendations for future purchases.
• Manage equipment service records and ensure proper fleet management for all accounts.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and track Additional Authorization Work (AWA).
• Handle purchasing and daily schedules of personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Document and report workers' compensation insurance claims immediately.
• Contact utility companies regarding line locations and secure necessary permits.
• Manage, direct, and train landscape management employees and perform annual reviews.
• Write, maintain, and update company SOPs for Landscape Management.
• Ensure adherence to the company employee manual and safety manual by all staff.
• Manage daily operations of multiple maintenance properties and installations.
• Recruit, hire, and retain employees; approve timesheets and employee leave requests.
• Ensure timely submission of field paperwork to accounting.
• Conduct initial site visits and cost estimating.
• Analyze and disseminate job cost reports.
• Assist in the bidding process as needed.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and achievement of the company’s annual budget goals.
• Maintain a high level of quality and efficiency in the field.
• Serve as a liaison between MLI, property managers, owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Keep records of personnel matters, vehicles, and service requests.
• Ensure customer satisfaction, respond to customer complaints and special requests, and promote the company image.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and job costing methods is preferred.
• Certified Landscape Technician or Professional (CLT/CLP) is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification.
