Job summary

Graybar is hiring a Branch Manager in the United States to lead operations in the Chattanooga area. You will design programs to maximize profit, manage budgets, and supervise a large team while building strong customer and supplier relationships. Travel is required to cover the territory.

The role emphasizes strategic and tactical decision-making, with incentives tied to financial performance and service metrics. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in sales, operations, or finance.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principles.
• Knowledge of the impact pricing decisions have on the profit and loss of the Company.
• Knowledge of various suppliers and their respective product lines.
• Business planning and market analysis skills.
• MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; SAP knowledge.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
• Leadership skills and ability to supervise staff and achieve results through others.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers and suppliers.
• Monitor competitive conditions in the territory, and recommend changes as necessary to gain market share in new areas.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure long-term market share and profitability growth.

Compensation Details:

The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $95,000 annually, depending on experience. This position is also incentive eligible, based on specific and relevant business metrics.

This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes. Graybar offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program to support eligible drivers. This program allows you to choose and drive your own vehicle, rather than a company-assigned car, and your reimbursements can help you build equity in your vehicle over time. Please note that certain vehicle requirements, such as age and original MSRP, may impact your eligibility for tax-free reimbursement.
