Qualifications

  • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office and custom applications.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and multitasking abilities.

PlainsCapital Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to be responsible for leading the overall performance of the branch including sales, service, operations, and risk management, while driving business growth and relationship sales management. With a strong emphasis on external business development and relationship management, the Branch Manager II actively partners within the community and drives referral activity across the organization. This role holds full accountability for branch performance, operational integrity, and customer service excellence, while serving as a local market ambassador, driving customer relationship growth and LOB referrals, and partnering with branch lenders/presidents and other lines of business to develop and execute strategies that achieve branch profitability.
Responsibilities
  • Leads overall branch performance, integrating sales, service, operations, and risk management to achieve profitability and growth objectives.
  • Manages, develops, and holds staff accountable, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and final issue resolution.
  • Oversees execution of branch operations, sales management, and service delivery to ensure efficiency, compliance, and service excellence.
  • Ensures staff compliance with all regulatory, operational, and security policies and procedures.
  • Develops and executes a branch-level business development strategy aligned with market opportunities and organizational goals.
  • Partner with lending leadership to generate new relationships and expand client portfolios serving as a product knowledge expert.
  • Achieves and/or exceeds established branch performance and personal production goals while driving a strong sales culture and consistent referral activity.
  • Manages branch expenses and operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
  • Drives relationship selling efforts of branch staff, accountable for referral generation and pipeline development across the branch and ensuring strong partnerships with all LOB partners.
  • Accountable for the financial performance as well as audit outcomes and reporting for the branch, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely completion of all requirements.
  • Approves customer overdrafts and other transactions in accordance with established authority levels/limits.
  • Resolves complex customer issues and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality service.
  • Manages branch facilities and ensures operational readiness.
  • Serves as a visible ambassador for the bank in the community, promoting the brand and building strategic partnerships.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. For degree, Business or related field preferred.
  • 7 or more years of related experience in banking with at least five years of direct branch management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Federal Reserve and other regulatory guidelines and operating procedures as well as general bank operations related to the servicing of checking accounts, ATMs, and other bank services.
  • Experience in external business development, networking, and driving staff referral and relationship‑building capabilities strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi‑task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be self‑motivated with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
