Job summary

PlainsCapital Bank in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead daily branch performance, sales, service and operations. You will develop staff, coach performance, and ensure regulatory compliance while optimizing profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; business or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of banking experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory branch role.
• Knowledge of Federal Reserve and regulatory guidelines and bank operations.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch performance and profitability via sales, service and operations.
• Hire, coach, and manage staff; handle performance management and issue resolution.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and operational integrity across the branch.
• Drive branch relationship sales and cross-sell with lending and LOB teams.
• Manage branch expenses and optimize efficiency to maximize profitability.
• Oversee audits, reporting, and adherence to policies; approve overdrafts per authority.
• Resolve complex customer issues and maintain high-quality service.
• Oversee branch facilities and operations readiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Leads branch performance and profitability, directing sales, service, and operations to align with organizational goals.
• Manages, develops, and holds staff accountable, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and final issue resolution.
• Ensures effective execution of branch relationships, sales management, operational integrity, and service excellence to maximize customer service; staff productivity, and operational efficiencies.
• Ensures staff compliance with all regulatory, operational, and security policies and procedures.
• Develops and manages profitable, multi-product relationships with individuals, small businesses, and small business management teams.
• Calls on existing customers to deepen and enhance banking relationships based on client needs.
• Partners with lending and LOB teams as a product knowledge expert.
• Achieves and/or exceeds established branch performance and personal production goals; ensures that staff members meet established personal and production goals.
• Manages branch expenses and operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
• Oversees and drives branch relationship sales efforts, promoting staff referrals and fostering effective partnerships across lines of business.
• Accountable for branch audit outcomes and reporting, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely completion of all requirements.
• Approves customer overdrafts and other transactions in accordance with established authority levels/limits.
• Resolves complex customer issues and ensures consistent delivery of high-quality service.
• Manages branch facilities and ensures operational readiness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. For degree, Business or related field preferred.
• 5 or more years of related experience in banking with at least three years of previous supervisory experience in a branch setting.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Federal Reserve and other regulatory guidelines and operating procedures as well as general bank operations related to the servicing of checking accounts, ATMs, and other bank services.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
• Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.
