Qualifications

• 5+ years of operations leadership experience in relevant industries.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We're looking for an experienced Branch Manager to take full ownership of branch performance, from P&L and budgeting to staffing, dispatch, quoting, and facility operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on operations leader who puts safety first, develops strong teams, builds lasting customer relationships, and treats financial targets as commitments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Own the branch P&L, including revenue, gross margin, labor, equipment, materials, rentals, subcontractors, and overhead, and manage to revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, and operating targets.
• Develop the annual budget using market projections, refurbishment needs, capital expenditures, and fleet additions. Monitor results against budget, investigate variances, prepare AFEs as needed, and correct course quickly.
• Champion health and safety as our highest priority by modeling safe behavior, enforcing safe work practices and EHS standards, tracking safety metrics with senior leadership, and solving recurring safety or environmental issues.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT requirements, and keep certification and training records for equipment and personnel 100% current and audit-ready.
• Align staffing and labor deployment with backlog and workload. Monitor overtime, utilization, and billable labor trends, and step in before they affect profitability.
• Partner with HR and Recruiting on hiring, and lead performance reviews along with compensation, training, and bonus recommendations.
• Develop supervisors and frontline leaders through coaching and consistently enforced expectations.
• Review job-level profitability regularly to catch margin leakage, cost overruns, underbilling, and unproductive labor. Partner with Finance on accurate job costing, invoicing, and reporting.
• Oversee all branch quotes and proposals. Verify pricing and cost assumptions and confirm capacity before work is accepted, and require documented change orders for any scope change.
• Own dispatch and scheduling by matching the right people, certifications, equipment, and materials to each job, and coordinate resources across branches to maximize utilization.
• Manage the branch facility with documented controls for equipment, materials, waste, and customer property. Oversee purchasing and inventory to avoid excess stock or duplicate spending.
• Make regular field visits to evaluate job sites, equipment, and working conditions.
• Keep clear visibility into backlog, forecasted revenue, and resource needs through short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
• Promote Company services, sustain profitable customer relationships, help develop niche markets, and share growth opportunities with leadership.
• Deliver timely reporting and lead weekly operational meetings to keep priorities and tasks aligned across the organization.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• At least 5 years of operations leadership experience (required), ideally in environmental services, industrial services, construction, transportation, or a similar field, including directing and developing supervisors and frontline employees.
• 3-4 years of P&L management experience (required), including budgeting, reading financial statements, and turning financial data into operational improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Availability for a highly flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, on-call rotations, and extended hours as business needs require.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Valid driver's license with a clean record (verified via Motor Vehicle Report).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to operate computers, phones, and mobile devices, including repetitive hand, finger, and wrist movement.
• Clear vision, hearing, and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Ability to do sedentary work for long periods, including at a keyboard or workstation.
• Frequent fieldwork, including standing for long periods in labor-intensive environments, for hands-on operational oversight.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 plus bonus incentives, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
