Job summary

Lighthouse Credit Union is seeking a high‑energy Manager, Branch Market to lead performance, community visibility, and a proactive sales culture across Lafayette and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard branches. Travel between locations is required to oversee two sites and drive growth.

The role emphasizes branch leadership, market analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to align products with community needs and to build lasting member relationships.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Eight plus years of experience in a member/customer service role.
  • Three plus years of coaching and/or leadership experience required.
  • Coaching and/or leadership experience in a financial institution and/or performance‑driven sales environment preferred.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and manages a larger market branch or multiple branches with 8‑10+ FTEs.
  • Ensures branch operations and compliance with bank policies and laws.
  • Completes performance appraisals for direct reports.
  • Fulfill member requests and process loans and transactions.
  • Monitors branch results and corrects unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Uses data to align branch plans with market opportunities.
  • Owns the branch sales pipeline and lead generation strategies.
  • Participates in sales development activities and community events.
  • Drives referral partnerships to deepen member relationships.
  • Collaborates with HR, Wealth, Business Banking, Lending, Marketing, Product.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is ideal for a high‑energy leader who thrives on achieving goals and making a measurable impact. The Manager, Branch Market is expected to bring a "win‑the‑day" mindset, rallying their team around performance, community visibility, and creating an unstoppable branch culture focused on success. Under the direction of management and in collaboration with other branch managers, this role is responsible for creating a branch team to enhance and support the Credit Union's mission, vision, goals and objectives, analyzing market demographics, member and prospect data, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities. This role fosters a cohesive team and drives revenue growth by matching Lighthouse products and services to market needs, leading proactive business development and creating long‑term positive relationships with members and the community.

This position will be overseeing both our Lafayette Branch as well as our Portsmouth Naval Shipyard branch. Travel is required between the two locations regularly.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operates and manages a larger market branch or multiple branches with 8‑10+ FTEs within the limitations of the established budget, managing controllable expenses. Prepare and submit standard reports and attend scheduled management meetings.
  • Ensures sound branch operations and compliance with all bank policies, regulations, and laws applicable in carrying out responsibilities for both staff and self.
  • Completes performance appraisals and manage the performance process for all direct reports.
  • Fulfill member requests, prepares and disperses loans, and accurately/efficiently process transactions as needed to support branch staff.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensure appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Regularly assesses branch market conditions, member‑based analytics and competitor activities to align branch business plans with market opportunities.
  • Uses data to influence product focus, develop outbound calling strategy, and drive member engagement tactics.
  • Owns the branch sales pipeline; develop lead generation strategies using data insights, member profiles, and marketing initiatives.
  • Actively participates in sales development activities including attending community events to drive mission and outside sales.
  • Drives referral partnerships to maximize cross‑sell opportunities and deepen member relationships.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal business partners (HR, Wealth, Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Marketing, Product etc.) to ensure branch and regional success.
  • Provides regular coaching on sales behaviors, product knowledge, and consultative conversations.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

The working arrangement for this position is fully onsite. No alternative working arrangement is available.
