Overview

Security 101 – San Francisco Bay Area is recruiting a Branch Manager to plan, organize, direct, and control all installation and service activities. The Manager will ensure quality of installations, control project costs (including field labor, design and project engineering, material, and subcontractors), and manage other costs applicable to system operations. Training and development of operations personnel are also key responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits

This full‑time exempt position carries an annual salary range of $115,000 to $125,000 and is eligible for our bonus program. Compensation is commensurate with skills, product knowledge, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, a 401(k) match plan, paid holidays, PTO, and more. Responsibilities

Manage installations and service activities of electronic security systems. Responsible for cost and quality control of operational activities.

• Overall department planning for each contract installation in advance, including re-estimates, manpower requirements, job progress schedule, and scheduling of materials and equipment to a job site.
• Formulate, recommend and implement functional policies and procedures related to systems engineering and installations.
• Develop and monitor methods to improve quality and reduce costs of installation and engineering.
• Promote safety in connection with installations, acting as safety officer.
• Oversee supervision, through Project Managers, of all installation work and personnel to maintain schedules and ensure projects proceed per plans and specifications.
• Assure completed jobs meet customer requirements, job specifications, and local codes.
• Ensure no work is performed outside scope; accurately price and authorize change orders before execution.
• Implement office management procedures and programs to improve quality and workplace environment.
• Develop and implement a quality service program to improve customer satisfaction.
• Justify acquisition of new employees.
• Conduct regular employee performance evaluations and salary planning.
• Establish, update, and monitor goals for department personnel.
• Provide counseling and guidance to subordinates to meet goals and objectives.
• Establish written procedures and policies.
• Keep current on company products and policies, disseminating timely information to department personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in the design and installation of commercial electronic security systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering and systems start‑up functions.
• Understanding of job financial reports and ability to apply them to cost containment in project management.
• PMP or CSPM certification is a plus.
• Electronics training from a technical school or military training in electronics or communications (preferred).

Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities

May perform supervisory duties including interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
