Job summary

Alerus Financial is seeking a Branch Manager in Phoenix to lead our local retail team and strengthen community partnerships. You will drive growth by expanding lending, deposits, and digital banking referrals, while ensuring superior client experiences and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee consumer and small business accounts, mentor staff, and maintain branch performance targets. A strong candidate has 5-7 years in banking, leadership ability, and a track record of achieving sales goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive banking experience.
• Proven ability to generate new business, deepen client relationships, and achieve sales goals.
• Strong knowledge of retail and small business banking products.
• Demonstrated success and/or aptitude to lead teams and manage branch operations.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Skilled in fostering positive relationships and effective communication.

• Oversee daily branch operations; maintain regulatory compliance and audit standards; monitor performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
• Recruit, train, onboard, and coach branch team members; foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and community focus.
• Represent the branch at local events and initiatives to enhance visibility and brand presence.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Branch Manager is a leadership role serving as the primary representative of the bank within the local retail community. WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is typically performed in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time.
