Employee Management
  • Responsible for achieving a member friendly, sales oriented branch atmosphere.
  • Ensure that Branch staff maintains member confidentiality.
  • Promote the effective sales and cross sales of products and services at every opportunity by branch staff and on an individual basis.
  • Meet or exceed established branch sales goals by developing, implementing and monitoring branch strategic sales initiatives.
  • Responsible for setting individual and team sales and referral standards to be implemented with assistance from Supervisory Staff.
  • Ultimately responsible for branch staff’s sales expertise and for achieving overall sales and service expectations.
  • Provide career counseling and approve any staff developmental plan necessary.
  • Prepare and conduct monthly staff performance observations for AVP Branch Operations.
  • Provide formal approval for and the presentation of all staff evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for interviewing, selecting, and hiring specified branch positions.
  • Overall responsibility for creative and efficient branch staffing and scheduling.
Branch Operations
  • Establish annual Metrics and other goals by working directly with the AVP Branch Operations.
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual goals established for increasing retail services per household and promoting the Big A.
  • Manage branch staffing budget, staying within goals established.
  • Responsible for meeting goals and communicating monthly Metric results.
  • Branch opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Supervisory overrides and check approvals as needed.
  • Facilitate effective monthly Department Dialogs.
  • Final responsibility rests with the Branch Manager for overall operation of the branch, including, but not limited to:
    • Safeguard branch assets by ensuring adherence to Policies, Procedures and Regulatory Compliance
    • Branch Security
    • Branch Capture
    • Timekeeping and Payroll
    • Evaluation and maintenance of equipment and branch property
    • Vault responsibility and Branch cash usage
Community Development/Involvement
  • Serve as an active participant or Board member of a targeted local community or educational organization (minimum of 1).
  • Work with Business Development Officers to ensure that the Branch’s outside business development and community activities are effective and result in membership growth and increased awareness of the Credit Union in the community.
  • Develop and implement annual Branch Business plan and communicate marketing ideas.
Miscellaneous
  • Perform Notary Public and Medallion Signature Guarantees as needed. (Obtain certification within first 6 months).
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all necessary reports.
  • Serve as Team Leader and/or Team Member on Organizational or Departmental Connections Online Projects.

Job Requirements
Education And Experience
  • 4 year degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a financial institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years financial institution experience
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
  • 1 year sales experience preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrate and utilize professional presentation skills and effective business development skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite product knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to adapt to change.
  • Excellent organization skills.
Physical Functions
  • Must have the ability/stamina to work at least 40 hours a week
  • Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data
  • Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues in the field
  • Must be able to communicate heavily through telephone, e-mail and in-person communications
