Arbor/Metals Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager for our Dallas, TX location to lead operations, sales growth, and team development.

You will ensure a safe work environment, drive profitability, and coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to meet strategic goals. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of leadership in a distribution/manufacturing setting, with strong financial and people-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent management experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, manufacturing, or related environment.
• Experience managing branch operations, financial performance, budgets, and employee development.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with safety policies.
• Oversee branch operations, including sales, profitability, productivity, quality, and overall business performance.
• Manage and develop branch employees through coaching, evaluations, goal setting, and workforce planning.

Job description

We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Dallas, TX branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of employees while leveraging the strengths of the organization to achieve the highest possible business performance. This role is expected to lead with the highest level of integrity, promote the company culture, operate in accordance with company policies, and foster an environment where employees receive equal opportunities, honest feedback, and support for their professional development.

The Branch Manager will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to establish and achieve goals related to sales growth, gross profit, inventory levels, and inventory accuracy. This position is responsible for the overall success of the branch through effective leadership, operational excellence, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company safety policies and initiatives.
• Oversee branch operations, including sales, profitability, productivity, quality, and overall business performance.
• Manage and develop branch employees through coaching, performance evaluations, goal setting, and workforce planning.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing key customer needs and supporting sales growth.
• Monitor branch financial performance, including P&L results, expense control, and responsible use of company assets.
• Manage inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and purchasing coordination to support customer demand and operational efficiency.

• Exercise sound judgment in credit, capital expenditure, and business decisions in accordance with company policies and approved authority levels.
• Communicate branch performance, business objectives, and company initiatives with employees to foster engagement and accountability.
• Collaborate with leadership and other branches to share best practices, support company-wide goals, and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Industrial Distribution, or a related field; equivalent management experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
• Experience managing branch operations, financial performance, budgets, and employee development.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make sound business decisions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and team-building skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or company events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the metals distribution industry.
• Prior Branch Manager, General Manager, or similar senior operations leadership experience.
• Knowledge of non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium.
• Supply chain, inventory management, or purchasing experience.
• MBA or other advanced business degree.
