Responsibilities

• Oversee the Branch operations, directing Customer Service Reps, Salespeople, Shop Foremen, and Drivers.
• Review contracts daily and manage purchasing feedback from sales and marketing.
• Develop and execute weekly Sales Plan and ensure implementation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and monitor debt collection efforts.
• Maintain presentation and readiness of Rental Center Yard and facilities.
• Prepare and analyze monthly rental income forecasts and other reports.
• Hire, train, and manage staff; provide performance reviews and coaching.

SUMMARY

The Branch Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the rental center. This includes managing Customer Service Reps, Salespeople, Shop Foremen, and Drivers as well as the operational and financial reporting on each function.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review of all contracts raised on a daily basis; i.e., creations, amendments, suspensions, and terminations
• Daily assess the need for purchasing equipment through feedback from salesmen, rental managers, customer feedback, supplier salesmen and Marketing Department Product Managers
• Assess, modify, and approve Sales Plan every week and ensure that it is carried out appropriately
• Ensure ongoing compliance with all statutory requirements
• Review the debt collection efforts (calls and/or visits made) daily
• Ensure Salesmen and Customer Service Representatives are aware of slow-moving equipment
• Ensure that Shop Foremen are aware of all equipment not available for rent
• Ensure that Rental Center Yard, facility, and staff are in a presentable state
• Handle various reporting such as monthly rental income forecast, daily contract count, and capitol approval requests
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent experience in equipment rental or HVAC industry plus 2+ years of direct sales experience
• Requires a proven sales track record in solution-selling approach
• Requires a strong technical background, detail-oriented along with the ability to learn engineering concepts.
• Self-starter, possess excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and a results-driven sales professional
• Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple opportunities and clients concurrently
• Ability to work effectively and meet sales objectives without detailed day-to-day direction
• Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills a must
• High volume sales experience preferred
