Job summary

Central Bank seeks an experienced Floater/Branch Supervisor to oversee the Flex Team and a temporarily assigned branch. You will staff, coach, counsel, and develop employees, with daily contact across departments and a focus on Legendary Service to customers and coworkers.

You will supervise teller and personal banker duties, manage sales and cross-selling, participate in community outreach, and travel between markets in Boone County, Audrain County, and Moberly as needed.

Duties, Scope, Responsibliities & Authority

Oversees general operations of the Flex Team and temporarily assigned branch. Staffs, coaches, counsels, and develops employees. Has daily contact with direct and indirect report employees and employees in other departments. Two-way communication between all departments is essential in ensuring an efficient and productive workplace. Has a great deal of customer contact. Daily activities are affected by the amount of customer traffic in branch, customer and employee demands, and meetings and classes. Involved in selection and training of employees. Develops, coaches, and handles personnel issues and situations. Must act as a teller and personal banker as needed, along with supervise operations and sales all while providing Legendary Service to customers and employees. Sales management and training for cross-selling bank products are important parts of everyone’s duties. Responsible for referrals, follow-up and assuring customers’ needs are met. Has good understanding knowledge of installment lending in order to act as liaison between customers and loan officers. Takes an active role in sales process including being responsible for coaching and motivating employees. Responsible for outside business development calling efforts to identify needs and opportunities for consumer and business products and services. Is expected to participate in the local community organizations. Responsible for overseeing operations of a branch, as Floater (relief) manager. Opens and closes branch, buy and sell money to maintain branch cash levels, perform teller cash box audits, monitor and maintain night depository agreements, monitor security and compliance issues, complete multiple branch audits, and information security. May be responsible for working in a different branch daily or temporarily assigned for a longer term. Assumes responsibilities for that branch when assigned.

Responsible for operations of the branch including staffing, coaching, loss prevention, and development of knowledgeable well-trained staff members. Must have a good understanding of security and fraud protections, operations, products, and services provided by bank and actively call on both customers and prospects in branch’s market area. Responsible for culture, utilizing and ensuring sales models are followed by staff, monitors performance, and ensures branch is meeting the bank’s overall strategic plan. Promotes team atmosphere providing Legendary Service to both customers and coworkers while ensuring branch operations in accordance with branch control manual standards. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives. The environment is fast paced, where interruptions occur often. It is important to dress and act in a professional manner. Understands role in case of robbery and knows proper post-robbery procedures. Accountable for other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Applicants may be located in the Central Bank of Boone County, Central Bank of Audrain County, or Central Bank of Moberly markets. Will be required to travel daily within the three markets.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises Tellers and Personal Bankers within the Flex Team. May indirectly supervise Tellers, Personal Bankers and Assistant Branch Manager within temporarily assed branch(s).
