Job summary

Meier Supply Co., Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager to lead daily operations, sales, budgeting, and inventory control at the Utica location. You will oversee personnel, expenses, and branch administration while driving profitability and customer service excellence.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years in leadership with 4+ direct reports and experience in HVAC/Sales. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience.
• 7–10 yrs in leadership/management with 4+ direct reports.
• HVAC and/or Refrigeration sales experience preferred (3–5 yrs).
• 3–5 yrs Customer Service experience.
• 3–5 yrs Warehouse/Distribution experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily branch operations to drive profitability.
• Develop and implement annual branch sales plan with regional leadership.
• Direct sales calls to grow share of wallet and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee personnel, scheduling, compensation, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with outside sales to maintain competitive pricing while protecting margins.
• Participate in after-hours on-call schedule and travel for manager meetings.

Job description

To provide leadership to the branch by directing and managing all the daily functions of running a profitable store including sales, budgets, inventory control, personnel, expenses, branch administration and new business. This position is accountable for the Profit & Loss for its location and contributes to the overall profits of the company.

Key Responsibilities (partial list):

• Plan, coordinate, and direct operational activities for the branch.
• Develop and manage annual branch operations to ensure profitability
• Develop and implement a fiscal year branch sales plan with regional manager or general manager to include specific plan for top ten customers.
• Conduct customer sales call visits to grow share of wallet within customer and identify any opportunities for sales growth
• Responsible for maximizing gross profit through customer price schedules * Supervision of all employees: includes recruiting and hiring, planning and scheduling work, assigning work, performance evaluations, salary adjustments, promotions, coaching, & discipline.
• Work with outside sales managers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining acceptable profit margins
• Participate in after-hours (on-call) schedule and after hours training
• Travel Requirement – May travel to corporate for branch manager meetings, to trade and/or industry conferences and training.

Pay Rate: $70-$75K annually DOE plus generous bonuses

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Prefer Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience
• 7-10 yrs in leadership and/or management role with at least 4+ direct reports
• Prefer 3-5 yrs HVAC and/or Refrigeration sales experience
• 3-5 years Customer Service experience
• 3-5 years Warehouse/Distribution experience
• Proficient Computer Skills in MS office
