Job summary

Airgas in Carson City, NV is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales and margins, and lead a safety-conscious team. You will promote sales, deliver outstanding customer service, manage inventory, and balance expenses through purchases while aligning staff with company standards.

Responsibilities include mentoring inside sales, handling customer inquiries, supporting outside sales relationships, and ensuring accurate daily financial processing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing environment.
• Experience leading retail or industrial distribution teams.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and up to 125 lbs with equipment.
• Proficient computer skills and capability to learn new digital tools.
• Self-motivated with focus on team success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer service for all internal and external customers and call-in product, pricing, and technical inquiries.
• Support the outside sales team in nurturing existing client relationships and welcoming new business opportunities.
• Support the flow of accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions, including cash reports, charge tickets, coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits.
• Maintain the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports.
• Cultivate and refine appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch.
• Facilitate and lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge, company policies, processes, procedures, and safety, ensuring the confidence that all associates can perform essential branch functions.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews for branch associates.
• Act as a bridge between employees and management, providing performance mentorship and guidance in collaboration with Human Resources and senior management.

The Branch Manage r oversees daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals. This involves promoting sales, delivering excellent customer service, nurturing inventory levels, and balancing expenses through purchase supporting. Additionally, the Branch Manager fosters facility and staff alignment to safety and regulatory standards, empowering team members in providing efficient customer service, maintaining good housekeeping, and harmonizing overall operational efficiency.

• Self-motivate d with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years management experience in a customer facing environment. A track record of meaningful contributions in the welding, gas, or safety industry.
• 3+ years of experience in a role focused on nurturing team growth and operational efficiency.
• 5+ years’ experience in sales with a track record of meaningful contributions.
• Experience with inventory cultivation and vendor relationship
