Essential Functions
- Leads the Branch development and deployment of a comprehensive sales strategy and long-term plans which integrates the business’ values, mission, resources and goals
- Builds lasting relationships with customers always focusing on long-term growth and dealership loyalty
- Manages an assigned sales territory and is accountable for achieving individual sales objectives in addition to overall branch sales goals
- Maintains accurate customer, prospect, and sales activity information in dealership systems and follows the established sales process
- Manages, coaches, and develops the branch sales team, including other territory sales representatives, to achieve sales goals and follow established sales processes
- Oversees the approval of deals and commission payouts
- Ensures the sales team adheres to sales department policies
- Creates development plans for sales professionals which includes identifying training needs
- Ensures the sales document process is followed by all sales team members
- Monitors market conditions, competitor’s products and pricing
- Works with the Parts and Service Managers to promote profitability and customer satisfaction
- Represents the dealership within the local market and community to strengthen customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.

Experience, Education, Skills And Knowledge
- 5+ years equipment sales experience
- 3+ years sales management experience
- Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Agricultural Management
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
- Proven managerial ability including leading, coaching, and developing others
- Strong time management and organizational skills required
- Ability to balance branch leadership responsibilities with the active management and development of an assigned sales territory
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Basic knowledge of equipment financing and accounting
- Enthusiastic with high energy and motivated to succeed
- Ability to use John Deere sales computer applications and tools
- Ability to use software applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
