Job summary

Kitsap Regional Library seeks a Branch Manager for the Bainbridge Island location to lead daily operations, build relations with staff, patrons, and local groups. The role oversees a team and liaises with the Friends of the Library and community partners to advance library services.

The position requires an MLS degree (or in progress with completion within 2 years), WA librarian certification (or ability to obtain), and at least five years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Master of Library Science Degree or actively enrolled in an MLS program with completion within 2 years of hire.
• Washington State certification as a librarian or ability to obtain based on state requirements.
• Five years of supervisory/lead experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large branch library with 13+ FTE and 45+ hours weekly operations.
• Develop branch objectives aligned with Library Director and division goals.
• Design procedures, systems and performance standards to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate with departments to maintain efficient workflows across branches.
