Hertz Local Edition in Akron, OH is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our branch team. This hands-on role will teach you how to run a rental location while delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily operations.

You’ll be prepared for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months through structured training, mentorship, and real-world experience in sales, operations, and leadership tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
