Job summary

Hertz Local Edition is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our local rental branch team. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

This position offers structured training and real-world experience with a promotion path to Branch Manager in 12–18 months, preparing you for leadership responsibilities within Hertz.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in customer service, sales, retail, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
