Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a local team, ensuring profitability and technical excellence across geotechnical engineering and environmental services.

You will oversee budgets, client relations, and project delivery while fostering a culture of accountability and safety. The role requires a strong track record in managing multi-disciplinary teams, driving growth, and aligning operations with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, construction management, or physical sciences preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience with 5 years managing an operation with $15M+ in revenue.
• Thorough knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering or environmental services.
• Comfort with standard office and collaboration software (Office, Teams, SharePoint).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, plus planning, organizing, and delegating ability.
• Experience in scheduling and cost control techniques.
• Ability to motivate, train, direct, coordinate, and engage a multi-disciplinary professional team.

Responsibilities

• Own Branch P&L, including budgets, utilization, collections, and costs.
• Oversee branch projects and daily office activities to sustain profitability.
• Partner with Safety teams to ensure staff are trained and equipped.
• Manage Branch vehicle fleet and work with Regional Fleet Director.
• Survey marketplace to identify new clients and new markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Approve and execute letters, proposals, contracts, and reports within authority.
• Resolve concerns regarding projects, proposals, contracts, and technical matters.
• Ensure the standard of care is met for all work assigned to the Branch.
• Coach, motivate, and supervise subordinates; foster development.
• Provide performance feedback for direct staff and review evaluations.
• Work with Regional HR Director on performance management and development.
• Contribute to sales innovation and strategic business development.
